We have been experiencing grace upon grace this month, and we are so thankful to the Lord for all He’s doing here, in large part through your faithful prayers for us. Thank you!
Check out this month’s updates below and in the linked video!
Our Levi turned SIX in September and is starting kindergarten. We are so overwhelmed by God’s grace in his life. He has shown fruit of saving faith for a couple of years now, and Kayla and I are beyond delighted that we’re going to have the privilege of baptizing him this upcoming Sunday. This will be one of the most special moments of our lives to date!
In the midst of nurturing five boys, homeschooling, running our home, and making our family’s life special and memorable, Kayla is starting to lead a study in our home for ladies that have yet to place their trust in Jesus. She has 3-4 ladies that she’ll be leading through Christianity Explored. Please pray for the Lord to bring these ladies to life in Christ, and for grace for Kayla to continue to love and lead well.
New Life + Baptisms
In our last update, I told you about my friend Michael, who turned to Jesus from a life of addiction. God is at work in Mike, and he’s been clean ever since he placed his trust in Jesus – he’s a new creation! And he’s growing. I hope you got to see the video of his baptism; it was a sweet time! Please pray for him to continue to grow into maturity in Christ.
I also asked for you to be praying for my friend James, who before the summer had never heard the gospel and had never been inside of a church building. James placed his trust in Jesus just a few weeks ago, and he’s getting baptized this Sunday!
We’re also going to get to baptize Cyrus this Sunday! Cyrus is the 14-year old son of Adam, the first convert we saw in VT. Adam brought him to our discipleship group this week, and Cyrus called on the name of Jesus for salvation!
Thank you for partnering with us for our India trip! It’s always amazing to see Jesus being worshiped and his kingdom expanding on the other side of the world. We’re still receiving word back from pastors and students of how the Lord moved in their hearts in our time together there. Please continue to pray that there would be great ripple effects throughout the nation of India because of the way the Spirit of God moved through His Word that week.
We also got to send a young lady from our church with us to stay behind to serve at ACA for a few months. Please pray for Jesse and for her ministry there these next few months. These are exciting days in the life of our church – we are sending people out to magnify Jesus among the nations! Praise the Lord for his grace in letting us be a part!
Rivertown partner Benjamin George is doing such a faithful job mentoring and discipling seminary graduates. They are coming out of his intern program with great hearts for the glory of Christ and readied hands and feet to plant the gospel and to shepherd the church God raises to life and entrusts to them. It was amazing to meet these guys and to pray for them as they head out to some of the least reached corners of the world. If you’re interested in personally partnering with ACA and their work in India, I’d love to connect you to them!
· Monday Guys – James just came to life in Christ this past month after asking for you to pray for him here! Please continue to pray for Kris and his partner Jess. The Lord is really moving in Kris’ heart, and I’m praying for them to fully trust in Jesus alone for their salvation!
· Kayla’s Seeker Group – Please pray for the ladies gathering with Kayla on Sunday night: Annie, Alanna, and Carolyn. Pray that they and their respective husbands and partners come alive at the sound of his voice as they behold him in his Word.
· Growth in Grace – Pray for the new believers in our church to grow firmly rooted in Christ, and for maturing believers to press on in knowing Jesus and making Him known. Pray for the growing missionary culture in our church – that all would take up their call to make disciples of Jesus!
· PRAY Conference – We are hosting a prayer conference November 4-5 for our church, but we’re also inviting churches from the area to join us as we seek to grow in this most needed area of our lives, individually and as a church. We’re bringing in the special forces, my dad, Al Whittinghill! Please pray that our church catches the vision and the privilege that it is to be the house of prayer that God calls us to be.
We are so grateful for all of your love, encouragement, prayers, and support along this journey. Thank you for standing with us!
