Many Americans just celebrated Memorial Day. While it’s not a Korean holiday, we truly appreciate all those who have served, and who are presently serving, as we do not take lightly the freedoms we have. On the Korean peninsula, approximately 37,000 American troops lost their lives in the Korean War. South Korea is a strategic and influencial country in this region for missions, freedom, and stability on the international front.

This past month we held our 2nd Annual Family Camp! It was a joy to work with three other church leaders in the area to make this camp a reality and minister to couples up close and personal. We had families truly opening their hearts to one another and discovering truths from God’s Word!

The Bible Club in our church is going well and we’re looking forward to making it a weekly event this coming fall. We’re thankful for the opportunity to pour truth into these student’s lives.

Our church plant celebrated six years this month (May), and we’re very excited about the opportunities in our community to reach so many with the Light of the Gospel. Last week we had a church picnic and a Korean lady, who has not been in over 3 years came!! She is deeply troubled and confused about life. We’re praying she will come to Christ. Her daughters both are in Alicia’s preschool class, and love learning about Christ. Perhaps God may use her daughters to soften her heart.

Just yesterday we were able to meet with the Evangelism Pastor and his team of a very large church in Seoul. Alicia and I listened to their heart for evangelism and for the people of Korea. It honestly was a sweet time of fellowship and exchanging prayer needs, as well as ministry endeavors. Pastors in Korea, like many in the US, can become overwhelmed with the numerous responsibilities. We’re often reminded of the passage: “The harvest is plentiful, but the laborers are few. Therefore pray earnestly to the Lord of the harvest to send out laborers into his harvest. Luke 10:2

We trust each of you have a great summer and are able to take some time out to refresh your heart in God’s grace. We want to thank you for your giving and honestly, your interest in this particular ministry the Lord is doing here in SK!!

May the grace of our Lord Jesus be with you and keep your heart at peace.
